St Anne has a superb ring of 6 bells. During the German occupation the bell tower was used as a machine gun post; you can see graffiti on the beams in the bell chamber.
The tower has an Abel simulator installed allowing the bells to be rung tied, with the sound played through the computer. This enables hours upon hours of practice and quarter peal ringing, perfect for visitors to the island to maximise their ringing whilst here.
The intention is to augment the bells to 10 in the near future, more details to follow…
