Town Church of St Peter, Apostle & Martyr – Guernsey

The bells of the “Town Church” were cast by Taylor’s of Loughborough and hung in the tower in 1994 but were dated 1995 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Guernsey from German occupation, hence the name
The Liberation Bells.
The ring of 8 bells are the heaviest in the Channel Islands the tenor being
21- 1 – 12 cwt.

The bells are rung for many Public occasions including

Liberation Day
Chief pleas

Practice night is on Thursdays 7.30 to 9.15pm

Sunday morning service ringing is 10 to10. 30am
Sunday evening 6 to 6.30pm ( check first)

Wednesday quarter peal 12.45 to 2pm please make contact if you would like to be involved in this.
